Transforming learning at JDX

The challenge

JDX is a global consulting company serving the financial services industry with over 650 employees and six offices across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific. Since its launch in 2012, it has become one of the fastest growing professional service firms. The company provides bespoke resourcing solutions to overcome regulatory, operational, change management and advisory challenges.

JDX puts their employees at the heart of decision making and the idea to move towards a modern approach to learning came directly from just that. The launch of their new Academy, a tiered learning structure blending soft and technical skills, required a platform that would allow users from across the globe to have a consistent learning experience as well as provide access to a variety of online and classroom sessions necessary for their role, from graduates right through to the Executive team.

JDX chose Learn from a shortlist of three companies following extensive research of the LMS marketplace.

Easy access makes learning easier

Staff can access Learn on their PC, laptop or smartphone, and with the move to bite-sized learning, it is easier for staff to fit learning into their working day, wherever they are working.

The new system has enabled L&D to provide a more consistent level of knowledge to the organisation and to deliver a wider range of topics with a more comprehensive learning programme.

From implementation to launch, the project was seamless.

“The system was so intuitive and easy to use that people were logging in as soon as we went live without the need for any training. For us, it wasn’t just about finding the right system. It was about putting in place a solution that people would want to access on a regular basis to develop their skills.” – Sarah Brennan, Managing Director.

“We’ve seen a huge benefit from the reporting functionality too and we now have a much better overview of what is happening across the business which we are able to share with managers and the executive team.”- Sarah Brennan, Managing Director.

The future

JDX plans to create its own eLearning in-house. It currently purchases all of its eLearning from external suppliers, and while eLearning will never replace face-to-face learning in the organisation, the company plans to grow its online assets by developing an even wider range of courses in-house to ensure the delivery of a more standardised and flexible experience to learners.

There are also plans to get more out of Kallidus’ reporting capabilities by creating more strategic, regular reports that will help support the business as it grows.

“We are a young and dynamic organisation and we needed a solution that our people would engage with and enjoy interacting with from day one. Learn really stood out because of its very modern look and feel. The dashboard is uncluttered and it’s so easy to navigate. We were impressed with how approachable the Kallidus team were and how much advice they gave us. We needed to implement the system against a tight schedule and we were able to achieve this thanks to a great partnership.”
