DSEAR

In many workplaces – from construction sites and factories to garages, salons and offices – fuels, solvents, dust and gases are part of everyday work. But without the right controls, they can create serious fire and explosion risks.

This course introduces the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) and what they mean for UK workplaces. You’ll explore how dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres form, what DSEAR requires, and how it applies to your role. Through realistic scenarios, you’ll learn how risk assessments, permits and effective controls prevent harm. You’ll also examine shared responsibilities and the decisions that keep you and your colleagues safe.
